April marks the arrival of summer on Bin el Ouidane, the temps start to rise again and the water levels start to recede once more.
The lake is a sun kissed paradise at this time of year, fresh crystal clear water, blue sky's and perfect daily temperatures make this possibly one of the most desirable months of the year to be present on the lake, both in terms of the wonderful fishing and beautiful weather we are gifted with..
With the immense numbers of big fish caught in Jan Feb and march we were unsure if April could match such amazing results?
However we've been blown away by the reports and photos we've been sent this month, more new big fish turning up each day, and guys catching numbers as high as 90+ fish in a week!
On average most clients have had around 40+ fish in a single week and not a single angler has gone home without catching good numbers of fish!
The action has been hectic both day and night across the lake, with all areas producing great numbers of fish.
In April alone we have had 74 fish over 18kilos (40lb) and 31 carp over 22kilos (50lb)!!! With hundreds and hundreds of 15-18kilo fish..
Some carp have been spawning but this hasn't slowed down the numbers of fish feeding. There is such a massive stock of carp in BEO that there will always be fish feeding whilst others maybe spawining, as the impressive results of this month have proven.
We've had clients visiting from as far as Japan and South Africa in April.
With full capacity each week, it's been another busy month for our great team of guides Salah, Grant and Said, who as always have gone that extra mile to keep everyone happy and fishing in comfort, along with the help and support of Mike and Hamid in the background..
The fishing at present is still hectic and those on the lake this week are seeing great results each day, especially from the hotel bay..
This area holds fish reliably all year round and has so far seen the greatest number of fish caught since last September.
We are fortunate that this area sits perfectly infront of our stunning hotel, so for all those wanting to visit with families or wife's etc this area is in an ideal position, it's a short pleasant stroll to the lakeside from our hotel..
We expect great results now for the rest of May, and we still have a few places left this month and next if anyone fancies a last minute break in the sun, catching these truly magnificent wild carp in breathtaking surroundings.
Thanks as ever to all our guests this past month, many of you have rebooked for the Autumn so we look forward to catching up with you all soon.
Peace
